Description:

This presentation demystifies Generative AI and its applications in healthcare. Attendees will gain a simplified understanding of AI models like ChatGPT, Bard, Bing Chat, Dall-E, and their functions.

The session will illustrate how Generative AI can enhance various aspects of medical practice, including revenue cycle, payer contracting, clinical notetaking, patient feedback, and patient chatbots.

It will also address challenges in implementing Generative AI, such as data privacy and access while offering reassurances and solutions. Attendees will leave with a clear understanding of the topic, its value, and its practical applications in their field.

The presentation aims to foster an open environment for discussion, ensuring that all questions are welcomed and addressed.

About the Speaker:


Dan Hughes  

Dan is a seasoned data analytics professional with over two decades of experience in the field. He specializes in guiding clients through data strategies, system implementations, cloud-based data warehouse development, data visualization, and the selection and implementation of artificial intelligence technologies.

With a deep understanding of healthcare clinical and revenue cycle data and processes, Dan's expertise goes beyond the purely technical. His ability to apply industry knowledge alongside functional insight offers clients a unique blend of strategic guidance across various business functions. As a passionate data engineer and business analyst, Dan finds joy in helping clients harness the power of data to solve complex problems.

A strong proponent of design thinking, Dan believes in a user-centric, entrepreneurial approach to foster innovation and ensure organizational competitiveness. He advocates for understanding user needs and experiences as a driving force for business solutions.

Dan's professional journey began at Arthur Andersen Business Consulting, where he was a Senior Consultant. There, he honed his skills in technology selection, ERP implementation, and process improvement.

Beyond his professional life, Dan is a proud US Navy Submarine Service veteran and a licensed mariner (Sailboat Captain). He is dedicated to helping fellow military veterans transition to civilian life. He finds fulfillment in leading sailing adventures that foster leadership development, adaptive thinking, teamwork, problem-solving, and emotional healing.

Dan earned his BBA in Accounting from Temple University. His unique academic and professional background gives him a balanced perspective on data analytics and entrepreneurship. His approach is grounded in pragmatism, utilizing data in meaningful ways to address real-world problems.

Continuing Education Units

Earn up to 1.0 continuing education unit hours for each hour of education from the ACMPE, American College of Medical Practice Executives. Our events are eligible for continuing education units as awarded by other professional associations. We recommend that you contact your professional association for their approval process.
