Description:

Join this webinar to learn of requirements of the Bloodborne Pathogen Standard to keep your employees safe. You will learn of the required documentation to satisfy the standard along with modes of transmission of bloodborne pathogens.   The Hazard Communication standard will be discussed to address the GHS labeling requirements, identification of applicable pictograms and location of pertinent information in the Safety Data Sheets.

About the Speaker:

Renee Russell, RDH, BS, TMC Consultant

  

Renee completed the Dental Assistant Course in 1988 and earned an associate degree in dental hygiene from Florence Darlington Technical College in 1992. She graduated with a Bachelor of Health Science degree from the Medical University of South Carolina in 2006. Renee is a member of the South Carolina Dental Hygiene Association, the American Dental Hygiene Association, and The Organization for Safety and Asepsis Procedures. Renee has been selected as a Hu-Friedy Key Opinion Leader. Renee was honored as South Carolina’s Dental Hygienist of the Year for 2010. Renee’s experience both as a chairside dental assistant and a hygienist helps her to fully understand the needs of dental team members in achieving HIPAA Compliance, OSHA compliance and infection control. She has served as a speaker nationwide on OSHA, Infection Control, and HIPAA.

Continuing Education Units

Earn up to 1.0 continuing education unit hours for each hour of education from the ACMPE, American College of Medical Practice Executives. Our events are eligible for continuing education units as awarded by other professional associations. We recommend that you contact your professional association for their approval process.
