Bio: Jason Newton, Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel, Curi
Jason Newton is the Senior Vice President & Associate General Counsel for Curi–a Medical Mutual Company. After a 14-year career in private law practice defending doctors, advanced practice providers, and hospitals, Jason joined Curi, where he oversees the Risk Management and Claims departments as well as assists the General Counsel with legal operations of the companies within Medical Mutual. Jason is amember of the North Carolina State Bar, a Fellow in the Litigation Counsel of America, and a recipient of the Presidential Award from the North Carolina Medical Society. Organizations regularly ask Jason to speak, and he has presented to more than 4,350 healthcare providers, lawyers, and medical liability industry professionals. Jason has a BA in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a JD from Wake Forest University School of Law.
